Dr Harik is associate professor in the department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine, where she also serves as Medical Director of the Clinical Laboratory Hospital Service Line at Emory University Hospital. Dr Harik is also co-director of a special program called PEACE (Partnership of Emory and Africa for Cancer and Education) focusing on promoting transatlantic professional partnerships with the goal of eradicating health disparities.<\/p>\n

Dr Harik holds several regional and national leadership positions. She is the current Vice Chair and incoming chair of the College of American Pathology (CAP) Cancer Committee, where she works on preparing and updating the widely used GU synoptic worksheets. She is also the president of the Georgia Association of Pathologists and was a key member in the revival of GAP in 2019.<\/p>\n

Dr Harik specializes in genitourinary pathology and her research focuses on bladder carcinoma with divergent histology and rare subtypes of urothelial carcinoma with poor prognosis. She also studies high risk and metastatic prostatic adenocarcinoma, including both histologic and genomic analysis with focus on racial differences.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
