ISUP Presents… Dr. Chris VandenBussche “Urinary Tract Cytopathology: From Papanicolaou to Paris”<\/p>\n

Chris VandenBussche is an Associate Professor of Pathology and Oncology, Director of the Pathology Residency Training Program, Associate Director of Cytopathology, and Director of the Cytopathology Fellowship at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He serves on the American Society of Cytopathology Executive Board and the CAP Cytopathology Committee and is an associate editor for Diagnostic Cytopathology. He is an author of Atlas of Cytopathology: A Pattern Based Atlas and was the 2023 recipient of the L.C. Tao Educator of the Year Award from the Papanicolaou Society of Cytopathology. Dr. VandenBussche’s research focuses on genitourinary cytopathology. He investigates molecular methods and digital image analysis techniques that may contribute to the earlier detection and treatment of cancer. His clinical research involves the international standardization of reporting in cytologic specimens. He has led two subgroups for The Paris System for Reporting Urinary Cytology, including the subgroup on upper tract urothelial cancer.<\/p>\n
